New Season Kenya celebrates 1year! The New Season movement in Kenya celebrated 1 year on 20th December 2009, with great fun, pomp, color and even greater faith for the years ahead! The day was graced by people across the region, whose lives have been impacted by the prophetic proclamation – It’s a New Season! We had great moments of praise and worship with locally renowned artists like Mercy Masika and M.O.G!
It began with Pastor Edward Buria calling on people to a time of thanksgiving for God’s faithfulness in the one year past, then to a time of maintaining the momentum and faith for the New Season 2010-2012. The keys that will continue to usher God’s people into the New Season are: 1) Faith in God, in oneself and in your undertakings, 2) Having priorities, respecting and working hard with these priorities, 3) Self discipline, 4) Vision – keeping momentum in the right direction, 5) Commitment to working Smarter and Harder! The celebration was then crowned with an Awards of Excellence for the various task teams and individuals who had done outstanding work in the advancement of the New Season goals. The winning team was the IT/MEDIA task team, whose work of training, branding and sensitizing people on the New Season has been and continues to be exceptional! The Kerith Movement of Churches also honored a few individuals by awarding them A MARK OF EXCELLENCE for their outstanding performance and lasting contribution to various sectors of our society including the Hon. Silas Muriuki – MP, North Imenti, Mercy Chidi – Director, Ripples International, Cllr. A. Rahim of the Meru Municipality, Terry Virgo and Nigel Ring, both of NewFrontiers UK, Fridah G. Kirimi – Secretary General – Edfri International and a surprise award for Edward Buria for his amazing faith and leadership in the New Season. WE LOOK BACK TO THE ONE YEAR WITH THANKSGIVING AND LOOK FORWARD WITH GREATER FAITH! |
